Hello Hudson High Class of 1989!

WOW!  Now that was a party!

I think the class of 1989 still knows how to have a good time!  The reunion has come and gone and we are all left with many fun and hysterical memories.  If you couldn't attend, but would love to know how the reunion was (or if you were there, but the memory is fuzzy) here is a little recap:

On Friday night, the Old Whedon Grill was hopping with excitement (and a little nervousness) as everyone saw each other for the first time in several years.  The energy in the room was amazing!  You could see people everywhere reminiscing with old friends and making new ones.  It was really fun to walk around and try to identify all our classmates and see what they are up to these days.  There were many hugs and squeals of excitement throughout the night.  The night was even more special when our own classmates Pat Garrity, Karl Herring and Brian Fricky entertained us with many awesome 80's tunes!

On Saturday night the official reunion was at the Hudson Country Club.  Wow!  It was quite a party.  There were 152 people in attendance.  Several classmates took advantage of the free bus ride from the hotel on a genuine school bus.  I have to say.... they made quite an entrance at the Country Club in the big yellow bus.  The night started with hors d'oerves and free drinks (drink tickets) and the mingling began.  The atmosphere was very warm and welcoming.  Fun trivia questions were asked to test everyone's memories about high school and the winners were rewarded with Hudson memorabilia.  Several times there was a race between classmates to see who could reach the DJ first with the correct answer.  Jeff Robinson welcomed everyone and dinner was served. After dinner we moved the massive crowd of people outside for a class picture which turned out lovely (thanks to Adam Ackerman & Trish Mastrioni's husband).  After the class picture we took a "Lifer" picture which included everyone who went to Hudson Kindergarten through 12th grade.  We had 30 Lifers!  Late in the evening while everyone was singing along to Jimmy Buffet's "Cheeseburger in Paradise" the servers passed out cheeseburgers as a late night snack.  It was quite a hit!  However, the real party began after that.  The dance floor was full and suddenly classmates everywhere were adorned in old Hudson High jerseys and Cheerleading skirts.  The best part of it was that it was the guys wearing the cheerleading skirts!  As the night came to an end and the last person got on the bus we heard someone exclaim "Can we do this again next year for our 21st?"  Hmmmmmm....  maybe a 25th.
